The official opening ceremony was held on July 3, 2026, at the Mwalimu Julius Nyerere Trade Fair Grounds in Dar es Salaam. The event was attended by the President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Her Excellency Samia Suluhu Hassan, alongside senior government officials, private sector leaders, investors, and business representatives from Tanzania and abroad. President Samia Suluhu Hassan reaffirmed Tanzania’s commitment to economic diplomacy as a key strategy for attracting investment, expanding trade, and strengthening regional integration. She stated that the government has continued implementing reforms aimed at improving the country’s business and investment climate, enabling the private sector to play a greater role in economic growth, industrial development, and job creation.

The Tanzanian President further emphasized that the partnership between Tanzania and Mozambique should continue delivering tangible benefits to citizens through collaborative projects in trade, energy, transportation, manufacturing, and tourism. She also expressed her appreciation to President Chapo for accepting her invitation to officiate the historic event, noting the long-standing tradition of Mozambican leaders opening milestone editions of the fair.

The 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair continues to demonstrate Tanzania’s commitment to creating a competitive and investor-friendly business environment. By bringing together governments, investors, entrepreneurs, and businesses from across the world, the exhibition provides a strategic platform for investment promotion, business networking, technology transfer, and market expansion. It also showcases Tanzania’s ongoing economic reforms and vast investment opportunities across various sectors.

Investors seeking new business opportunities are encouraged to visit the 50th Dar es Salaam International Trade Fair (DITF), where they can engage directly with key public and private sector institutions. The exhibition provides a unique platform to connect with organizations such as the Tanzania Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA), explore available investment opportunities, receive guidance on investment procedures, and establish valuable business partnerships that can support successful investments in Tanzania.
