NAIROBI– The Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA) reinforced Tanzania’s position as an emerging investment destination by participating in the MNL Africa Leadership Circle Forum 2026, held in Nairobi, Kenya. The two-day forum brought together policymakers, investors, business executives, and development stakeholders from across the continent to explore practical strategies for accelerating investment, innovation, digital finance, and regional economic integration under the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).

Representing TISEZA, the Chairman of the Board, Hon. Amb. Dr. Aziz Ponary Mlima, joined a high-level panel on investment competitiveness, where he highlighted the evolving priorities of global investors. He noted that while investment incentives remain important, investors today place greater value on stable policies, reliable infrastructure, efficient institutions, and streamlined investment processes.

Also, Dr Mlima showcased Tanzania’s continued reforms aimed at creating a predictable, transparent, and investor-friendly business environment that supports sustainable economic growth.

During the forum, the recognition of TISEZA Director General  Mr. Gilead Teri was highlighted for his outstanding contribution to investment promotion and economic development across Africa. The prestigious award was received on his behalf by Hon. Amb. Dr. Aziz Ponary Mlima, reflecting TISEZA’s growing impact in promoting Tanzania as a competitive investment destination and strengthening the country’s presence within Africa’s investment landscape.

TISEZA’s participation at the forum underscores its commitment to expanding regional partnerships, attracting quality investments, and advancing Tanzania’s economic transformation. Through active engagement in continental dialogue and collaboration, the Authority continues to support Africa’s shared vision of increased trade, innovation, and sustainable development while positioning Tanzania as a preferred gateway for investment in the region.
