The expo is organised by SSI Africa and was founded by Precious Joseph, a beauty professional and makeup artist.

From the First Season to BIT Expo 2026

The 2026 edition builds on the first season of the Beauty Industry Tanzania Expo held in 2025.

The first edition provided a platform for people working across different areas of the beauty and fashion industry to showcase their work, connect with other professionals and increase visibility for businesses operating in the sector.

The second season comes as Tanzania’s beauty and fashion sector continues to provide opportunities for entrepreneurship, creativity, branding and business development.

What to Expect at BIT Expo 2026

The exhibition will bring together a wide range of businesses and professionals, including:

– Cosmetics and makeup brands

– Clothing and fashion brands

– Hair and haircare businesses

– Nail and nail-art professionals

– Accessories brands

– Shoes and footwear businesses

– Skincare and beauty-product brands

-Other businesses operating within the beauty and fashion industry

For exhibitors, the event provides an opportunity to put their products and services in front of potential customers and industry professionals while building relationships with other businesses.

For visitors, it offers an opportunity to discover brands, products, trends and professionals within Tanzania’s beauty and fashion space.

Why BIT Expo Matters to Tanzania’s Beauty Industry

For a growing industry, visibility matters.

Many Tanzanian beauty businesses operate as small or emerging enterprises, often relying heavily on social media and personal networks to reach customers. An industry-focused expo creates a physical space where these businesses can present themselves, meet potential customers and connect with other players in the industry.

A makeup artist can meet a cosmetics brand. A salon professional can connect with a beauty-product supplier. A fashion designer can meet potential customers and collaborators. A young creator can meet established professionals and learn from their experience.

BIT Expo therefore helps strengthen connections between different parts of the beauty and fashion value chain.

Opportunities for Young Tanzanians

The beauty industry has become an important entry point into entrepreneurship for many young people who are increasingly building businesses around makeup, hairstyling, skincare, nails, cosmetics, fashion, content creation and beauty education.

Young entrepreneurs also need exposure to customers, suppliers, experienced professionals, business networks and new ideas. An event such as BIT Expo brings many of these opportunities together in one place.

For young people attending the 2026 expo, it can be a chance to learn from industry professionals and identify new opportunities within the sector.

The Signature Night

One of the highlights of BIT Expo 2026 will be the Signature Night, which will take place on the evening of September 27, marking the culmination of the three-day exhibition.

The Signature Night is expected to feature:

– Live stage competitions

– Industry panels and conversations

– A fashion show

– Entertainment

– Networking and business connections

– A celebration of beauty and fashion

This gives the expo an entertainment and networking element in addition to its business and exhibition activities.

The Vision Behind BIT Expo

The Beauty Industry Tanzania Expo reflects the need for professionals, entrepreneurs and brands to have spaces where they can showcase their work, connect with one another and engage with the wider market.

With its second season taking place in 2026, BIT Expo has an opportunity to build on the foundation established during its first edition and strengthen its role as a meeting point for Tanzania’s beauty and fashion community.

As the industry continues to evolve, platforms that bring together talent, brands, entrepreneurs and innovators can play an important role in creating stronger business connections and greater visibility for Tanzania’s beauty and fashion businesses.Tickets can be officially purchased online via the Otap
